I love these 25 words. It's not often you see tawdry used and it's always insulting when you do. What emotion does the tawdry nature of the ending elicit in you?
I'm a sentimentalist so enjoyed the ending because the Father's journey hadn't been in vain and the boy still clearly loved his father despite his Fathers best efforts to protect him by keeping him at a distance.
